Position:  Family/Child Advocate

The Child Advocacy Center of McHenry County is currently seeking applicants for the full-time position of Family/Child Advocate.  This is a grant funded position that provides services to child victims and non-offending caregivers who have received services at the Child Advocacy Center of McHenry County.  Position will be open July 1, 2008.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, or related human service field.

• 2 yrs. experience preferred in social service field with emphasis in child services and sexual abuse/assault.

• The position requires effective verbal and written communication skills.

• The Child Advocacy Center works with different agencies and promotes a multidisciplinary approach to the investigation of child abuse.  The applicant should possess effective relational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
