Welcome to the Child Advocacy Center of McHenry County

Children’s Advocacy Centers are established as community-based agencies designed to coordinate the activities of various agencies involved in the investigation, prosecution and treatment referral of child abuse.

The Child Advocacy Center of McHenry County was established in 1999 as an independent not for profit agency.

Champions for Children Walk!

The 2012 Champions for Children Walk is scheduled for May 12^th. The walk is hosted by the Children's Advocacy Centers of Illinois. The Child Advocacy Center of McHenry County will be joining other Illinois centers in raising awareness and dollars to support child advocacy in Illinois.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Child Advocacy Center of McHenry County is to reduce secondary trauma to child victims through coordinating a timely, comprehensive, and multidisciplinary response in reported cases of child sexual abuse and severe physical abuse.
